Money, mainly. We would in the past head to Florida about every 2 years. We would visit Disney one time, then Universal the next. We were there in 2018, but did Universal. It was much cheaper.
We do other trips in the off years.
Anyhow, for 2020, we had always planned this to be the year my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary. We started saving early on because it was going to be expensive, staying on property, etc.
But while also planning the next family vacation which would be our son’s graduation trip where he would have input, one thing led to another and we decided to combine both his and our DD’s senior trip by doing a Universal and Disney trip. The fact that it fell on the same year meant our 2019 vacation was very small but comparison to save money.
After our December trip this year, we likely won’t be back until 2023.
