They have stopped running the boat from the backside of the Contemporary to the Wilderness Lodge. I ended up taking the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, then grabbing the boat from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge.

Could there be a misunderstanding? I think the boat goes from Contemporary to FW to WL to Contemporary, not directly from Contemporary to WL.
I’ve been on the boat when it has gone directly from CR to WL

It’s technically two routes, CR to WL and CR to the Fort. That being said, if there are accessibility needs with scooters or wheelchairs they may divert the larger boats sometimes.

There are 2 circular launches, going in opposite directions around Bay Lake.
And separately there are the boats from MK to WL and FW. Usually combined.
At one point the circular routes only ran after 3pm but I think they returned to all day. Maybe they’ve reverted to the afternoons and evenings only?
Riding that boat all the way round is one of my favourite things to do.

Apparently, the cast member at the monorail station that I spoke to was misinformed. He’s the one that told me they no longer had the boat between contemporary and wilderness lodge. My apologies for any confusion.

The signage at Contemporary. Wilderness Lodge is my next stop, so I got a bit of a wait since it’s currently 2:30
ETA: I’m on the boat to Ft. Wilderness. The next stop will be Wilderness Lodge. Captain seems to suggest that there’s another boat that will go Contemporary Direct to Wilderness. But it’s raining, there’s no cover on the dock. I’m going for a ride…

My experience is that the goal is to have two separate craft making direct trips between either the Lodge or the Campground. BUT, depending on the size of the craft and the needs of the patrons, they will add stops as needed.
