Churro Waffles, Ohana, Dolphins

Ok, I’m trying to plan some dining for my trip to WDW in early June. I have heard that the churro waffles in MK (and the cruise lines) are amazing. However, the only way to get them at WDW is at the Crystal Palace breakfast buffet. I’ve also heard that there is a different version of the churro waffles at Rosa Mexicano at the Dolphin. I’m staying at the Swan, so that’s just a short walk for me to get to on my arrival day.

Here’s my dilemma. I have a single day planned at MK. A breakfast buffet eats a lot of time, and honestly, the waffles are the ONLY thing I’m really interested in for this scenario. Further, I have a 3 pm reservation at Ohana that same day (which also kills a chunk of time). That’s 2 buffets in a single day. That’s madness in my opinion.

Is there a way to get churro waffles to go without having to deal with character dining buffets? Are the ones inside MK much better than the ones at Rosa Mexicano? What would you guys do?

I probably won’t be able to do LL for rides btw as I’m getting in with a cast member, so that kinda cuts my shortcut opportunities as it pertains to saving time getting on rides.

Appreciate any and all insights.

If it were me, I would definitely avoid an unnecessary character breakfast. Those can eat up like 3 hours with waiting for a table, being served, waiting for the characters, etc.

That said, I think if you really want that particular waffle, dining in is the only way to get it.

If it were me I’d give the Rosa Mexicano a try.

My understanding from being at the Dolphin a couple of weeks ago is that Rosa Mexicana is also a buffet for breakfast.

I did see a separate price for their churro waffles, it’s possible they have both options.

I may have totally missed that.
