Christmas at DHS - possibly no SWaGS

Just a heads up to anyone heading to WDW for Christmas.

For the last two years, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bam has replaced Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular from around mid Novemberto 15th/16th December. That date happens to have coincided with the release of a new SW movie.

However, on the page about the Star Wars guided tour, it has this note about SWaGS:

Experiencing a reserved viewing of the obi-wan and only Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular nighttime fireworks event (which takes a break from November 6, 2018 to January 6, 2019 when the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Spectacular is on display instead for your holiday enjoyment)

That info doesn’t seem to be anywhere else yet, but it looks like it is a possibility that SWaGS won’t return until after New Year this season.

Yes, this was confirmed to me on the phone by a Disney person. Star Wars guided tour will still take place, at the same price and still give you a preferred spot for the fireworks but it won’t be the Star Wars fireworks…
