The whole point* of the original MBs from the user perspective was to make everything easier and more streamlined:
Put on MagicBand
Walk around
Tap when you need to
Now it is:
Is my MB charged?
Is your MB charged?
Is MDE open?
Did MDE crash?
Is MDE updated?
Is my phone overheating from MDE?
Is bluetooth on?
is my current terrible wifi connection choking my phone’s connection?
is my phone charged?
why did I spend $45 on this thing?
did i leave the oven on?
*Of course the actual point from the Disney Co. perspective was traffic shaping and data analytics, plus making it easier for people to spend more easily, but whatever.
