"Call me Hypocrite." LLs

In this case, the elusive whale is called LL.

So, I know I gripe about LLs…but I am also not opposed to being a part of the problem under certain situations. This is one of them.

Our August trip is two park days, doing two parks each of those park days, with the plan to use LLMP and a couple LLSPs.

What I am wondering is if there is a way to know which ones to prioritize when the 7 day window opens up.

On our AK/EP day, we will prebook at Epcot (we are hitting AK early in the day). We want Remy, Soarin’, GOTG, and probably Spaceship Earth.

Our HS/MK day we will try for HS (our first park of the day). We want SDD, ToT, TSM, and then SDMT at MK.

How do I know which rides to prioritize prebooking for?

I’d book your DHS ones first. How far in to your trip is your DHS day? SDD might be late in the day if it’s early in the trip. For that matter ToT and TSM might have later return times as well. You can modify them to almost immediate return times at the first drop though.

Book all your LLMPs first then LLSPs.

The actual process if booking and paying for LLs does not take long. I think I’ve done two days of booking in five minutes or less. I then go back to BG1 and tighten up my overlap and pretty regularly check back in BG1 in the days leading up to my trip to make my times earlier/better.

There is a lot of data out there but my favorite, simplest, most straightforward is the EarScouts podcast where the host releases a quarterly deck of cards that advises on this. Check out their website for details

The new summer deck is right on the front page

My favorite way to see what rides are most in demand is to login to BG1. You can click on any date to see the currently available return times. It also automatically sorts rides by Priority.

I looked at BG1, but couldn’t figure out how to see anything other than standby waits and next available LL.

We arrive August 2, DHS is August 5. The AK/EP day is August 3.

Okay. I wasn’t sure on this point.

Thanks. Will do!

That means you’d be booking DHS at day 4 so should be able to get early return times for SDD, ToT and TSM

BTW @ryan1 I wouldn’t say you are a hypocrite. I’d say you are making a decision between spending time or spending money and you are choosing to spend money. That’s ok. It’s a constant decision at WDW.

Ryan, I responded to you in the BG1 thread in La Cava.

Thanks! I didn’t realize that if I clicked on the time listed for a LL, that it would take me to a subsequent page (although it doesn’t show me anything useful because it says I don’t have LLMP, so I guess I will have to wait until day of to check it out!
