Still haven’t booked? Next time I come back you’d better have booked.
I think I better sleep on it. There were enough options at the cheap rate that they’re not going to sell out by the morning.
We’ve failed you.
You know… there’s usually an Orlando Informer Meetup in June… just mentioning because it A. moves your touring to nighttime, when it’s not nearly as hot, B. means no crowds at all, C. means great hotel rates for up to 4 or 5 days I think.
A tip I’ve had from a friend who lives relatively locally is that the hotels in Val d’Europe, just one stop on the RER from DLP, are a lot cheaper and nicer in many cases than the onsite hotels. And its just 7 minutes away and you’re right there.
Of course the direct Eurostar is being suspended, so you’d have to change at Lille. But that gives you lots more train times a day, and no need to spend the night in London before or after.
Is it done? Do it! Do it!
I think there are going to be some disappointed people.
No bookings have been made. When I woke up this morning I had cooled on the idea.
But I haven’t ruled it out 100%.
I know what you need, someone to argue with you!
Don’t come to Orlando, that’s a stupid idea! Why in the world would you want to do that? And in June? Just don’t do it.
Did it work? Did you book it yet?
Screw you! I’m booking it right now! Don’t you tell me what I can and can’t do!
Yeah we definitely failed you.
wait a minute… you might be on to something…
No. But I have made a decision.
Unlike you crazy religious types with all your silly beliefs, I believe in signs. Which are very scientific.
For example, I always pay for big purchases with my American Express card because they are awesome when things go wrong. However, there was some fraudulent activity on my account recently and so it’s suspended pending the issue of a new card. Which I don’t yet have. So I can’t book the flights with Amex.
That’s a sign. The universe is saying “wait a bit”.
Also, the UK gets a new prime minister on Tuesday and the first order of business is what they’re going to do about the cost of living crisis. Specifically domestic fuel prices, which have basically doubled and are set to maybe double again.
What kind of irresponsible lunatic books a holiday in that environment? But we will know very soon what the UK government is going to do about it. And that will give me more confidence to book.
Also, I’m not yet fully booked with students for the coming academic year. A few more bookings and buying flights will seem less reckless.
And the Virgin sale runs for another two weeks …
You see? Signs. The universe is making its will known.
so seriously when are going?
Ummm… the kind who knows that if they just book it now then they’re “stuck” taking a vacation while everyone else is moaning about the cost of peas. Also, since when did you ever worry about your lunacy being responsible? You need to find yourself a sweet young thing to make you wild and reckless again.
That is quite a compelling argument.
Won’t that just make it more expensive to travel? Book the flight now while it’s cheap.
That was my thought! We got flights from Austin to Osaka with points for a ridiculously low amount of points…now that return flights are coming out they are more expensive. Glad we booked the outgoing at least before the hike.
@kerrilux argument is legit!
Can people stop making good points, please. It’s making it very hard for me to hold up the pretence of being sensible.
