Bus virgin

We always drive to mk… Usually since we day trip a lot. Thinking about taking the bus from AoA on our one night to mnsshp. Nervous since I like driving and taking the ferry/monorail over… Makes it feel special. Anything I should know about the bus system on a mnsshp night or in general?? Will it take forever? Do we stop other places? Thanks

I’ve used the buses to get to MNSSHP from both CSR and POP and haven’t had any issues. We only use Disney transportation and I really enjoy not having to drive while on vacation. We’ve never had any real issues.

@rachaelmac22 - it’s comparable to bus service in large cities, with cleaner vehicles and more frequent service. Plus you can drink and bus, but not drink and drive.

AoA bus service is usually direct to and from the parks. I can’t recall ever being diverted to, say, Pop Century, but I suppose it’s possible. It’ll also be faster than driving.

I would imagine it will take less time than driving, since (a) AoA only has 1 stop and doesn’t typically share buses, (b) you go right to the park and bypass the TTC. Keep in mind that there can be a wait for the bus to arrive, so I would plan to be at the bus stop an hour before you want to be at MK, just to be safe. We love the buses and always use them. Enjoy!

The WDW bus service is certainly not without it’s issues, but DFam and I don’t consider any alternatives. I think you are going to have a much easier time using Disney transportation, especially when going to the MK.

Thank you liners… So you would say an hour prior to the time we want to get to mnsshp would work?

that should be more than sufficient @rachaelmac22

Yup, that would probably do it. Are you planning on arriving at or near 7pm? You might know this already, but you are allowed in to MK as early as 4pm using your party tickets.

@bigboyslacks. Yep we are shooting for a 4 pm start  got there at 5 last year on party night… Someone didn’t want to get out of the pool to go…Haha!!

LOl well… nothing wrong with that I suppose. Sounds like a good time to me!

MK is the only park that I would recommend using the bus vs driving bc you have to mono or boat anyway if you drive and of course @Lentesta recommends it too.

And then there is always that off chance that you accidentally get on the EP monorail…
