Is it possible for non-guests to see bus info in MDE?
No you can only see it for your own resort.
ETA unless that’s changed in the last 18 months which is possible.

But most of the articles were from when they launched the feature in MDE, so I was hoping maybe it was more accessible now?
It didn’t work on GPS or anything, it was based on your resort info on MDE. I haven’t seen anything saying that has changed since our last trip, but also haven’t been looking.
