Bounce Backs?

Disney trips have always been a big event and I have never had the possibility of “bouncing back” before.

It dawned on me that my three-night stay in August might produce a bounce back offer that I could use for the anticipated November, 10-night trip.

Is this wishful thinking? Are bounce back offers still a thing? Are they worth waiting for? Just another calculated risk?

I have a long time before I have to nail down our November dates. Thanks for insights!

The current bounce back offer does include 11/1-26 (I brought the room flyer home), but no idea whether there will be rooms left for your dates by the time you travel in August.
I had booked one for Labor Day weekend back in January, but actually ended up changing to the Save more discount as it was a better deal. I think the bounce back doesn’t include weekends and the Save more discount does. So when discounts for November are released, I would book that (if they offer it) as it might save you more money.

ah. Good observation. Thank you. I will travel over at least one, if not two weekends.

Can rooms be reshopped, or no? Do you know?

Not sure what this means.

Like if another deal comes along if you can call and they rebook the room with a new rate. Or do you just cancel the room and hope the rebook it with the new offer.

You can change it yourself online (or see other resorts if the one you have chosen does not have rooms available). I rebook often when new deals come out. The bounce backs are even online now.

You must book within 7 days of your August departure, OR be really good at begging for mercy.

Also:

  • The offer is subject to availability.

  • There may be blackout dates.

  • You’ll need your confirmation number and dates from your most recent stay to book the offer.

They are similar to the room only offers of 15-35% off. But they usually cover more dates and have more inventory. They should announce fall offers before your August trip. You could always book then and cancel if the bounce back offer is a bit better.
I’ve booked bounce back before but found better deals after the fact so I canceled them.

I booked a bounce back offer last year. I ultimately canceled that and booked a room under the spring passholder deal. Here are a few things to look out for:

  • There is limited inventory with limited dates (like any other special offer)
  • This offer as booked as a “package”, meaning it must be canceled at least 30 days prior
  • The week you choose may have dates that are available at the discount and dates that are not. A CM booked the bounce back package for me, (I think it was a 35% discount), and after it was booked, I tried to verify the package price. That’s when I discovered that some of my days fell outside of the eligible dates, so it wasn’t as much of a deal as I thought it would be. I guess the system did not prevent the CM from booking a combination of eligible and non-eligible dates, so she was unaware.
I got an overall better deal with the passholder room discount offer.

In January - the bounce back offer was a prompt on the tv menu. Come to think of it - I never got a bounceback email …

I didn’t have a flyer in the room last stay. But I wonder if that’s because it was a DVC room… Do they get bounce back offers?

We stayed as a Guest in a DVC room last July and we got one. That was the first time ever though and we have stayed in DVC rooms many times.

Sorry if already mentioned, you can now book online within 7 days of checkout. It is listed under offers.
I booked back in December for WL July return. Then in January the WL CL rooms I was hoping for opened up for BB.
35% off 3 room only reservations. Better than I could get with the offers that opened in January for sure
