Booking on Southwest

Ooh those Maui Monk pretzel things are awesome. I’ve ordered them in the past despite exorbitant price from Amazon. I’ve seen the brand in other flavors at Hyvee also.

We have zagged to United for our flights, will cancel our party-of-7 flights to/from Hawaii on SW. Thankfully the cash portion is refundable. Overall it will be a much more pleasant travel day for multiple reasons. I may try to find a channel to tell SW why (I’m not on any other social media).

We flew Southwest last week, so just adding another data point. On the flight out, the plane switched to a MAX 8 two days before so we got moved into the extra legroom seats (exit row)* and were given the pistachios. On the return flight, only my dad was in extra legroom, and no one on the flight got pistachios (he was in the exit row so he could see the snack distribution in front of him). They didn’t mention anything about it, so we have no idea if they ran out or if someone had an allergy, but maybe they won’t distribute there’s an allergy?

*We originally had 1 extra legroom seat (my dad) and 3 economy seats. They moved the 4 of us into an exit row and refunded the extra legroom seat and didn’t notify us (my dad happened to see it in the app). The next day, once the refund was processed, they removed my dad’s seat so he was unassigned (again, no notification). He called, they said the system took away his seat because he got a refund, despite the fact that the system was also what moved us into these seats in the first place and he didn’t initiate the refund. He escalated to a supervisor, they said the same thing and that there was nothing they could do. He then had to rebuy the seat he was moved to just to make sure he actually had a seat. An unnecessary pain to a problem they caused themselves :upside_down_face:
