We’re staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. We’ll have a car and will use it to get most places, but I was wondering about taking a boat to Epcot. How are the crowds and the waits? Any problem getting to the rope drop on time?
Riverside has a boat to Disney Springs but not to any of the parks. From that resort you’ll have to either drive or take the buses. We prefer to drive.

Sorry, I’m afraid the only resorts with boat service to Epcot are the Yacht/Beach Club, Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin. You are going to have to drive or bus it. Another Idea for rope drop is to book a breakfast at one of the aforementioned hotels, drive over, eat then just walk to Epcot’s back door at the international gateway.
