Blank Page Disneyland Trip

I’m all settled in at the Park Vue Inn! I’ll be leaving in about an hour to pick up DD25, DS16.1, and DS16.2 from LAX. DCA tomorrow, DL Sat, they fly out Sun. It’s gonna be a hectic whirlwind of a weekend so not sure I’ll be able to update in real time, but thanks to everyone for all your help!

I’m off to buy a magicband+ to share and maybe grab dinner. I’ve got tomorrow pretty well planned out but Sat is still a work-in-progress so I’ve got to focus on that.

FWIW, I did end up booking the World of Color dessert package. I know I’ll be exhausted at the end of the day tomorrow, so I think it will be worth it not to have to try to think about viewing strategies at that point. (I read @OBNurseNH ’s glowing review and that put me over the edge.). DD25 adores charcuterie too (she had an elaborate spread of it at her wedding reception).

You will not regret this!!!

All of us had leftovers and we enjoyed them while playing cards last night. The view is top notch, the servers are incredible (they timed the photos perfectly!!) and the show is wow!
Enjoy!!!

How are you liking it?

We had 3 queen beds and would stay there again. The location is awesome.

My cousin and I ate one evening at CalacaMamas on the other side of IHOP. We had a fun server.

Love Park Vue Inn. The location is just perfect and the price was very reasonable.

I feel really good about how much of DCA we covered, but not sure I possess the mental agility to deal with these LLMP decisions on the fly. :sweat_smile:Felt like lots of cross-crossing the park, but that’s infinitely better for me than standing in lines so :woman_shrugging:

World of Color Dessert Party - yep, worth throwing a bucket of money at it to not have to think about it, especially at that point in the day. The kids really liked their dessert boxes and were completely engrossed in the show.

It helped that after a rough Tower of Terror experience at WDW, the kids had zero interest in Guardians of the Galaxy.

I feel utterly unprepared for DL tomorrow though. I’m just going to start with our “A” list and see how it goes.

That is too bad but also good for planning! What a great day!

Thanks to everyone for all the input! Another great day! It went smoother than I thought it would. Decided to spring for the RotR LLSP so we could rope drop Indiana Jones, and that was a really good decision. (Realized rope dropping RotR would be a huge time sink during that golden first hour.)

My kids are definitely hard-wired to WDW:

“Wait…why are there Star Ward rides in the Magic Kingdom?!? And Indiana Jones is a ride?!? This is so weird…” :joy:

They uploaded out of order but :woman_shrugging: you get the general idea of our day anyway. Thanks again for the help!

This is such an incredible haul of rides and experiences for one day, and with a break! Well done!

Glad you had such a great time.

Even tho 3 in our group rank Tower of Terror as best WDW ride they had zero interest in GotG also. Actual more disappointment at the whole idea of a different backstory. But they agreed to ride it once to discover if it really was a “party in a box”. Their verdict: it totally is and rerides on subsequent days were required.

When we were at WDW in Jan 2020, we were on ToT and I hadn’t remembered it being so jarring? I’d ridden it a couple of times before, but this was so tough it crossed over into unpleasant. Enough that my kids aren’t interested at all.
