Hey all~
Question: my daughter will be turning 10 1/2 way through our next trip. I know she will be considered a “Disney dining adult” at that point. How do the restaurants know what to charge you during pre-fix/character meals? Will it be her age at the start of travel or is it in real time? She’s a peanut and looks like she’s probably 6 or 7. Thank you:)
I think they don’t? I want to say that they age she is when you start the trip is the age she stays.
But now I’m second guessing myself. I know it works that way for the dining plan, and for the tickets….I guess for the meals it depends if you tell them?
I’ve heard many times that Disney takes you at your word as to your kids’ ages. Our youngest granddaughter was a head taller than other kids older than she was. The trip that she was 9 no one ever questioned or even seemed to notice that she was a kid and not an adult.
I think when booking a trip we indicate the age of the kids at the start of the trip and that’s the trip age. I’d get your daughter a happy birthday button - no # necessary - and have a great trip.
She is the same age throughout the trip. That goes for the tickets as well.
Yep if she is 9 at the beginning of her trip she’ll be a child throughout the trip.
Thank you:)
FWIW I’ve had cast members bill my kids as kids even when they were over the age of 10, generally with a wink from the cast member.
