Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Reservation for 9/12

My DD10 woke up this morning, came to me, and said, “I want to do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique when we go to WDW in September. I am getting older and this is the last time I would want to do it.”

First, my heart sank to hear her think she is getting older. She has never expressed in interest in BBB before, so this was out of left field.

Second, I immediately pulled up the BBB reservations since (coincidentally) today would be our first day to register. I know BBB is a hot reservation, but all the spots were taken early this morning. And there are many spots available for other days leading up our MK day (9/12/23).

Is it possible that all the reservations were snagged for a random Tuesday in September that quickly? Or maybe (fingers crossed) Disney didn’t drop the reservation times yet? Any thoughts?

I set up a ResFinder in hopes something comes up down the road.

Thanks for helping me prolong my DD10’s childhood!

There’s a Halloween party that night at MK, so maybe a lot of people want to do that as part of their costume. But also, as you said, Disney maybe has not loaded that date yet. They’re known to be slow about some things.

Ah, good point. Maybe it’s not “a random Tuesday” then.

Funny but DD19 did the same thing about that age. She might have been 11, but the trip was definitely our “farewell to princesses” tour. Neither she, nor DC14 (who would have been about 6 at the time) were all that into princesses, but the older one was trying to hold on to the little kid magic. We had an afternoon appointment followed by dinner in the Castle.

I hope you get exactly what you want for you and your DD. :dizzy:

Now that makes me sad! :sob: I hope that isn’t what’s going on!

Oh, I’m so sorry! I don’t want to make you feel bad!!

Also, big kids are fabulous. Yes teens can be a tough, but they are also fabulous in their own way and they turn into young adults. She will become your travel buddy.

Haha! All good. I know it’s a reality, but sometimes I just don’t want to hear it.

We have a DS13, so we are starting to see how fun those teenage years can be. We choose to find joy in each season of life.

That is so sweet and sad. Keep stalking the site and I bet something opens up. And when I say stalk I really mean like any free moment you have. I’ve been able to get almost everything I’ve ever wanted by doing that.

I love having a good reason to stalk the Disney website!

I also set up an alert with Mouse Dining. I’ve never used them before, but they had the option for alerts for BBB.

Not the same but Touring Plan Becky had a great experience hiring a former CM to do it at their room on-site. A great experience and probably cheaper!

I’ve never heard of that! Definitely an option. Thanks for sharing.

If you’re on FB, there’s a page called Ears for Each Other - there are quite a few former CMs doing it.

I have a ten year old and relate to this post. This big kid switch is rough!

I hope you get a spot!

We used one of the CMs before BBB opened back up. We had a great experience! I had my husband meet our Fairy Godmother in Training in the lobby with the dress and shoes for DD so it could look like they were coming from her. My DD was so surprised and loved it!

If my DS was younger, I would definitely have considered hiring the guy who does lightsaber training.

That’s a great idea! My boys would love that!

Pretty sure @melcort10 used him when staying at the Poly.

You will get one with reservation finder no problem. If you want one that day, you’ll get it. Everytime I set up a finder for BBB I get so many hits as the day gets closer.

That’s encouraging to hear!

Justin Aldridge! Just putting in a plug for him, he was FANTASTIC with my kids. Although I’ve heard he even does it for adults and they have a great time, the age might not matter! He also worked at the Galactic Starcruiser so I imagine he’s used to building a rapport with all age groups.
