Hi there. I haven’t done a Disney trip in a couple of years, but have used BG1 successfully on several past trips. Can someone tell me if it works similarly? Should I pay for another LL service? What’s the current wisdom on this?

BG1 has been working lately but you should be aware that Disney has been cracking down on third parties so it could break at any time.
Same story for Standby Skipper and Wait Magic, only more so since they are paid services that use bot-like behavior (as I understand it, BG1 does not - it’s just an alternate interface. It may use automation for some elements, just not booking). This is exactly the activity Disney seems to be trying to stop. But they have found temporary workarounds that may work for a time.
Personally I don’t think you need a paid service, but if you want to use one, my impression is that Wait Magic is better.
