I’m not sure that the TP app provides this, but it would be quite useful if it did/could.
I’m wondering if it would be possible for, once you set up a TP in the app/website without any FPP added that TP could look evaluate and the recommend best bests for FPP selections. That is, the FPPs that will ultimately save you the most time in your plan. It would allow consideration for hard to get FPP, and make recommendations accordingly.
In this way, rather than waiting for FPP day to come and hope for the best, and then just end up taking whatever you can get, if TP gave an ordered list of suggested FPPs, including those which you are much more likely to get depending on how far out you are evaluating. If you already have FPP put in, then it doesn’t need to make the suggestions.
If you set up a plan in TP without FPs, it does recommend what FPs to get. Do you mean it would then go ahead and re-optimise or re-evaluate automatically?
Edited: just read @bethro23’s post… doesn’t it still do this? It certainly did for me the last time I made one for real, I can’t say I’ve noticed when I’ve just been playing about.
If it doesn’t anymore, it would be worth asking Len why. I don’t want to tag him until others can confirm whether it does this or not.
If it does it already, great. I don’t know. I don’t have the membership yet for Disney (I had paid for Universal). I plan to pay for the Disney membership once I’m a year out.
But basically, not just recommend best FPPs, but a list of FPPs based on most likely availability. (And maybe it does.) So, for example, it might know that getting a FPP for FoP will save you a lot of time…but given that FoP FPPs are unlikely, it could make a series of options that include Tier 2 attractions that would be most valuable, etc.
It does (see below) but it’s not based on availability as there are too many factors to add (onsite vs. offsite, what day park is on your trip, how many people you have, etc.)
"Based on your touring plan, you should try to get FastPass+ reservations for the attractions below. This is a prioritized list, and you will save the most time by getting FastPass+ for the attractions highest up the list. Try to get FastPass+ for the first attraction listed. If that is not available, get FastPass+ for the second attraction listed, etc. (Optimize to repopulate this list.)
Okay - I guess it does, but I must be doing something wrong. I removed all FPPs and hit optimize and I thought it didn’t suggest where to add…I’ll try again
Then YES I am doing something wrong: It does not list any for my test plan

not really - is there even such a thing as quiet anymore I removed FPP and reoptimized and I have a wait of 20 minutes; one for 49 (I would think it would at least do the one for 49 - but it’s at park closing so maybe that’s why) WEIRD - my first IT job they used to call me Beta Beth
NEVER MIND - STUPID USER ERROR - it does list on each attraction that would be a good candidate for FPP
One of the problems with doing this is that the selection of your first FPP changes the potential utility of the other FPP choices, so the Optimizer would have to run multiple times to figure out a set of best selections. This is why I came up with my iterative method for using the Optimizer to help you find the best FPP choices.
