We are at the airport waiting for our flight to Tokyo! The flight is 11.5 hours.
DD is joining DH and myself. It is our first time in Japan. DD is bringing Duffy and ShellieMay and I’m bringing Chip’s Dale. Duffy has 5 other friends !
We do not travel light! But most of the suitcases are not full. The green suitcase is not full. The purple suitcase only has another suitcase in it! DH said it was too heavy for us to just use carryon backpacks for the next 5 days. So, the grey suitcase is full and we will be bringing that one around with us instead of sending it ahead to the hotel we will arrive at on Thursday.
DS dropped us off at the airport. We were looking around for kiosks to tag our luggage. Nope! A JAL staff greeted us and took us to her station to get our luggage tagged! Such service! We will be spoiled for 2 weeks.
DS left the car at a train station and surprised us at security!
We landed around 4:15 pm. By 6 pm, we had cleared immigration, picked up our pocket WiFi, and forwarded our luggage. We had filled out our immigration paperwork at home and got a QR code to use upon arrival, which sped up entry.
