My wife and I have the same issues with eating out. We enjoy cooking and do a good job preparing meals. So, when we eat out, we prefer to go and have something that we are not able to cook ourselves.

What’s your favorite place in the bubble (or within an uber ride) to get something super tasty that you wouldn’t cook at home?
If I were to do a sit-down meal, I would say Raglan Road. I have made shepherd’s pie at home, but it was nowhere near how good it was there. The other thing that I like about RR is the atmosphere. I have heard really good things about Toledo but have never been there. Most of the time my wife and I go to WDW, we get one main dish and split it, that way it is less expensive, and we are able to taste more.

I usually don’t have much of an appetite at WDW. At TH I try everything that hasn’t got coconut, only putting one smallish bit of each choice - maybe 2 bites - on my plate, resulting in a full plate. I usually eat it all cuz it’s so interesting. There is occasionally a food that doesn’t work, but there’s only a small amount, so it’s easy to ignore it.
Usually there are few kids, so we get to see characters several times. In December Goofy and I were commiserating about arthritis.
The manager will come to our table to let us know when we’re getting close to time for last bus. Then we walk out of a nearly empty park.

My sister and I do this often as I get full quickly and she’s not used to eating such rich foods.
Or we’ll each get an appetizer and share a dessert.

This sounds great! Such a relaxing way to end the day. Might do this for our full AK day instead of going to AKL… I do want to see the resort though!!
I can see why people make several ADRs and cancel as it gets close.

This is definitely part of our usual eating out strategy! We either order one less main than the whole group and share family style, or we’ll split everything so we can share.

Maybe make it a part of your rest day.
The store is great.
Lots of savanna viewing in public areas.
Huge collection of African art.
Several places to eat.
Sleep in a little. Have lunch at AKL
