Last night we went to a charity dinner auction for a local school. At the auction they had a silent and live auction. A trip to Disney World was one of the live auction items. They listed the item with tickets and hotel for 3 days/2 nights. Then near the end it said it was all loaded on gift cards. So of course I bid and won the $1750 in gift cards for $1200. Felt like I was stealing because we are going to Disney anyway and that is way better than any Target/Sam’s/Bjs deal.

Sometimes those travel charity deals are better than they appear. My parents won one years ago in a raffle. It was listed as a flight/hotel to Vegas. But, in reality the flight was “From anywhere to anywhere round-trip in the continental US on American.” It is easy to get cheap flights to Vegas.
