Am I in a rut? UOR Suggestions needed!

Hey everyone!

I’m focusing on my December trip to take my cancelled HHN blues away!

I’ve got basic plans taking shape. Still don’t know what night time shows / parades will be happening. However, after multiple Grinchmas trips in a row I know what “major” holiday events should be taking place.

However, my plans are looking the same as most of the trips I’ve taken. This is good & bad. I love having a full Harry Potter day. I love going to Mama Della’s for my favorite foods. I love riding Hagrid’s at close & more!

I do feel like I am just hitting the “repeat” button on my trip. What can I do to mix it up?

I keep saying I’m going to do more queue tours. I love the hotel eateries, but have only been to Portofino & HRH and Strong Water…

Give me your ideas to “mix it up”!

Ultimately you do you. But for me, UOR still doesn’t have the repeatability vibes that I have for Disney. I mean we love UOR…we go every few years. But there is just so much Disney has to offer before you are on repeat.

Not trying to sell you on Disney…only that I have trouble coming up with much to do at UOR that we haven’t done repeatedly already. I guess it is because UOR still feels a bit too rides focused. Too amusement parkish, despite the amazing theming.

Which makes me wonder…can you branch out to surrounding things to do while keeping UOR your core trip? Not sure what that might be, though.

I’m planning on going to all 4 WDW parks this trip! :tada::tada:

I’m definitely not bored at UOR. I just tend to be a creature of habit. I find something that I love and keep doing it. For example… I sincerely love the food at Mama Della’s. However, I only found that when I tried it for the first time!

I like to say “I have done it ALL at UOR!” However, I know there are still things I have never experienced. It can even be a new recommendation at a place I already enjoy!

That looks great! I saw that it’s on Fri. & Sat., so I’ll try to make it! Thanks!!!

Bowling
Cinema
Mini Golf
Karaoke
Escape Room
Pool Hopping
Water Taxi Roulette
Lounge Crawl
Water Park
Scavenger Hunts
Shows only time in the park
Max out on rides until you puke…

The list is endless!!

I’m probably not the right person to answer this because I will literally do the same things almost every day of our two week trip. Lather, rinse, repeat until our flight home.
Nothing in UOR feels repetitive when you compare it with NOT being at UOR :woman_shrugging:t4::rofl:

This made me feel 100% better! I’m looking over my “must-do” list. With being over at WDW so much, I’m barely making it to everything I already want to do!

I’m super sad the MIB is going to be down while I’m there. I play it so much! I was going to do a Toon Lagoon day, but Dudley is down too!

Also, VB is closed two days I’m there - right in the middle of the week. That’s when I love going!

Thanks for the ideas! I’m not even thinking about Liner Meet times either! Thankfully, I’m doing most of those at WDW!

But…your list ended with “Max out on rides…” So I guess it isn’t EXACTLY endless.

Well, you could do a ride each day :woman_shrugging:t4:
Unless you can rally quickly and do more after getting queasy maxing out the first one
That would probably cover about a month or two’s worth of park days :+1:t3:

I did see a person on YT who did challenges with riding 100 times in one day on many of the rides at UOR.

I do wonder which I could do that many on! It helps when the parks are open longer, but that means it’s busier. I could probably do Doom easily!!

Sounds like such a fun challenge

It would be cool to have a ranking of all the rides based on how many re-rides you manage before tapping out :laughing:

I imagine Storm Force Accelatron would have the lowest score :face_with_spiral_eyes::laughing:

Is that crabcake sandwich at Drhum Club worth the visit? It’s not too far out of the way & I remember it from your TR!

I would say so.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The whole vibe at the SF pool was really chill.
Worth a couple of hours for a swim, a sandwich and a couple of cocktails. I’m sure you’d enjoy it.

I’m gonna pop over for lunch one day! This is exactly the kind of thing I’m talking about. I’ve eaten at Strong Water, but not the other SF eateries. It’ll be new to me!
