Thanks! I started playing with TPs last night but they have the hours wrong still from what they were last year and don’t have showtimes for villains or mermaid shows (my favorite princess and the name of my favorite dog, now angel in heaven). I played with which order of parks to go to on which days and I can’t get it the way I want on Wed, Friday, Saturday or Sunday as of yet. And I’ve toyed with the idea of buying LLPP for one of the cheaper parks like Epcot and then I won’t have to worry about LLSP running out either and I can do FoP and Tron (with adult children these are the clear winners over 7DMT but hey if I can get that too I would or etph or a christmas party). I’ve roped dropped FoP before and unless you’re at the front of the line you’re still waiting 45 minutes in my experience. So get there really early like probably an hour before opening (but even when I’ve been an hour early I’m not at the front in the past but maybe now it’s older it’ll be easier?).
I updated my universal scavenger hunt and we will be doing that for Universal because we’ll have express in the old parks.
And that did put the idea in my head of doing a scavenger hunt in Disney but my kids are most definitely ride focused so that would still be the focus of a 4in1 for us given they’re coming. If it was me and DH I could convince him to not care about rides. I think we’ll def take a break after three or four days in Universal before tackling this. Have a resort/Disney Springs day between whichever order we go.
I’m frustrated touringplans doesn’t use last year’s time for predictions for next years. Like if AK opened at 8am and hollywood studios at 9am why on that same day of the week (comparing Friday to Friday for example, not 12/20 to 12/20) would they say AK is opening at 9am and DHS at 7am…I want to play! Plus I miss the old touringplans creator. The font is too big and you have to scroll too much and it’s too flashy and not as simple to use functionally and it’s buggy, and I hate the pop ups. Working in software I get they probably had third party dependencies that were deprecated and unsecure so I get the updating but ugh I miss the old days…LOL
That sounds like a really good idea. I think I’d tend to go to Universal first, so it would be further before the holidays and therefore less crowded. I would not want to attempt Epic Universe Christmas week.
I also think you’ll have a great day at Disney even without extended evening hours. MK is bound to be open pretty late that time of year. AK - HS - EP - MK could work perfectly, with LLMP at HS. If you limit your time at AK and are able to get a morning Tier 2 at HS, you could try to book Frozen next (I’m guessing it’ll be possible once Test Track opens). I think you’ll be limited to slightly later times for RnRC and ToT since, best I can tell, this is for day after check in, but hopefully you can get late morning/early afternoon and then book Space and keep trying to luck into Tiana. Combined with LLSP and single rider, I think you could have a fantastic day.
I’ve never had any interest in trying 4P1D, but now maybe bucket list
The Kid and Co opened AK and planned to be leaving - at the bus stop - by 10. FoP, EE and Dino. EE was down so they left early. But then went back to EE after doing 3 or 4 rides at HS and then arriving at MK “on time”. Which I think was 3 pm
I’ve come up with two tentative plans-ish that would most likely require LLPP and LLMP and LLSP which I’ve seen you can do plus a party ticket so outrageously expensive but probably worth it to me depending on what WDW is charging this week for LLPP. One would be for Friday when there is MVMCP and we’d end there and this what lets me knock one of the two remaining Epcot ADRs off my Bucket List and the other gives us Friday off if we don’t do a 2nd day in Epic which I’m considering giving the cost of my idea…
Option 1 ending at MVMCP on Friday goes
AK start (should open at 730am for EE and I’d buy LLPP for this park hence squeezing in more):
NRJ
FoP
KS
EE
Dino
Zootopia
Bus to DHS (I’d buy LLPP for this park which is why I’m riding more cuz want to get some money out of that)
Baseline Tap House Pretzel
RotR
Ronto Roasters Wrao
MFSR
Woody’s Lunch Box for pop tart (I don’t think my kids will eat the wrap so they can get a grilled cheese here instead)
SDD
TSM
MMRR
ToT
RnRc
Villains
Mermaid shows squeezed in as they fit in
Skyliner to EPC:
Remy would be Tier 1 LLMP
La Creperie early dinner
TT Single Rider (cuz I’m assuming it’s also gonna be Tier 1 when it comes back since Soarin’, gosh I hate tiers)
GotG with LLSP
Monorail to MK (it will be party time probably 8pm by the time we get here)
Golden Oak Outpost or Sleepy Hollow snack
Tiana
HM
7DMT
Speedway for the overlay which I think is cute
Buzz
Space
Tron (hitting this right before the party is over cuz it still had a decent line like 45 min when we did it two years ago during the party with the VQ).
I did all the special shows except Reindeer Wranglers last MVMCP I went to so I’m okay missing them and I love the fireworks but my kids don’t so we can use the time for short lines on rides…totally cool with that as it’s much cheaper than LLPP in MK…MUCH MUCH MUCH Cheaper.
With the day of rest and going on Saturday and given there was a JN this year which I’ve also attended its inaugural year so only haven’t seen the ice skating (I’d really prefer to end at MVMCP since everything I want to do is open during the party and I know the Villains and Mermaid show won’t be in DHS meaning I have to move much faster to get there before the park closes and it’s very likely this won’t work given when the last Villains show is (I’d think Mermaid would go later like it used to kind of run continuously)
AK should open for EE at 7:30am and I’d buy LLPP same order of attractions as other version but bus to MK where I’m super mad at the both Space and Tiana in Tier 1 and would probably have to give up Space…frakkers…unless a pass opened up quick while we were in line for Tiana, eating or at Tron
Tiana for Tier 1 LLMP
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments quick brunch
TRON for LLSP #1
Monorail to Epcot
GotG LLSP #2
TT Single Rider
Remy (I’d try to grab this after Tiana if I can but it might not make the cut
DHS for JN but after to get there in the mid-afternoon for a shot at Villains as other stage shows seem to have their last showing of the day around 4-430
Villains show first priority
Mermaid show 2nd
Roundup Rodeo BBQ dinner before park close at 7pm (cuz it’s new to me but I’d really rather eat the Creperie but then I likely won’t make the Villains show which I care about more sigh)
Then all the rides we can conquer from 8pm till 12am but thinking we could probably hit 'em all so just start in TSL and Star Wars Land and I’ll probably skip ST unless there are new show scenes since it tends to make me sick half the time then Sunset Blvd and end with MMRR and the Glisten Ice skating show at 12:15am
I really prefer option 1 but it gives us no rest day…We could just basically die on Saturday if I went this route though LOL I tend to not like more than 3 days in a row of full park days though. I get grumpy. ugh…can they just move the last MVMCP to Saturday next year! Just for me ha ha ha
