I copied the Ultimate Animal Kingdom touring plan and altered it a bit for what I was wanting, which included a dining reservation. I want to follow their plan, but not when it doesn’t make sense like this. Custom Touring Plan: Julie's Copy of Ultimate Touring Plan: Animal Kingdom. I was hoping for help from Touring Plans but wasn’t sure who to ask. I’ve optimized it multiple times but with no success.
Rope dropping doesn’t always give you the best wait times unless you are literally near the front of the pack. So in that regard, the plan is amazingly complete…getting through everything in a single day like that is impressive.
They have been working on a feature to allow you to indicate you will,in fact, be at the front of the crowd. Once that is available, the rope drop will probably make more sense for you.
I actually toggled that on inside the Lines app - I was so excited when I saw that in hopes it would fix my problem. Sadly, it didn’t change at all.
It might still be right. Between the LLs you have, and the two rides in Pandora having short waits at the end of the day, which is common, it might still be the plan with the shortest wait time overall.
It also has to align the show times and meals. Looking it over, I am not sure another order could do much better.
The big issue would be if the estimated wait times are way off…but remember that the advantage a good TP plan has is that it has you zagging when everyone else is zigging.
