I feel like Blue Bayou might be like CRT and BOG: you need to experience it at least once and check that box.
Ah, we will have to try next time
Yes you are!
I am trying ro relive a magical character breakfast I had And DH used to always want a hot breakfast. But he is needing that less lately, so I am second guessing. We have two half days and 2 whole days and only 3 ADRs so I feel like I am doing okay, but 2 seems better!
You should if youâre not blocked! We are blocked every Saturday from mid-march until Easter and the whole week leading up to Easter and we are using all of the kidsâ Spring break at the end of March (and a couple of extra days on either end of that) for WDW-DCL-UOR so our next DL at all will have to wait until the 2nd half of April at least.
Quick question:
I will be staying at Paradise pier. To rope drop Fantasyland early entry, should I take the monorail or walk to the Esplanade?
Walk. The monorail is better for mid day breaks, it isnât always reliable in the mornings.
Thank you!
Leaning toward dumping Blue Bayou and keeping Lamplight Lounge.
Reasons to cut BB:
- Price
- Have daughters with, and seems like more of a âdate nightâ vibe
- TS eats time, and I want to explore the park as much as I can with so many attractions, and very good Quick Service alternatives
- No guarantee to be seated by PotC boats, and kinda dim lighting anyway
- Not sure about kids liking things on this menu
Am I wrong on anything? Obviously there are many pros too, but I want to make sure I at least have valid reasoning if I donât keep this one. It would remain near or at top of bucket list if (expecting this to become when) DW and I return on our own someday.
It is definitely has a very nice date night vibe and can be a popular proposal venue. That being said, there will be other parties there with kids & the one time I did it, it was with my kids. We werenât quite waterside to be near the boats either but we all enjoyed it. If it werenât so hard to get an ADR we would probably do it more often than we do, even with its pricetag and with a family.
I do also wholeheartedly agree that too much TS eats up time & thereâs plenty of great QS in DL to make up for cutting out BB and I would absolutely pick Lamplight over Blue Bayou if it were my crew. We absolutely love Lamplight.
Yes, yes to this. This is the way to plan for DL.
Walk. Even with 2 senior citizens, we walked from Paradise Pier through security, through Downtown Disney in under 15 minutes to the tapstiles.
