When I got mine last year, I went to GS at DS on arrival day. I had to show them my ID and the credit card I used to buy the AP. I’m not sure if there was anything else, such as show them a confirmation email or tap my MB. I don’t remember the details about memory maker, but it was active as soon as they activated my AP and could be used in a park the next day like normal - showing ride photos and other photos fairly soon.
I activated my AP on Sunday and they were able to look it up with my email. I may have shared my photo ID but I don’t remember giving them a method of payment.
Also regarding Memory Maker, the CM told me that it, as well as all discounts, are active as soon as you activate the AP - you do NOT have to use your AP for admission to use these benefits! Which was relevant for me since I purchased Memory Maker separately since I wasn’t going to use my AP until June, using day tickets this trip. Now I need to get a refund for the separate memory maker!
I have an ancient AP from 2017 from Sam’s. It’s in my account listed as a ‘converted Platinum Pass’, which was supposed to include Memory Maker (when I bought it) but memory maker is no longer included.
Anyone have experience with this? Ask to get this added?
I know my new or renewed AP just showed up in MDE app after purchase, but I go to a ticket window (b/c the lines are usually shorter than GS lines) and ask for a hard ticket card. The card is easier for me to tap on the CM-photographer’s scanner. I read that our 30-day MM will be activated on first use. I purchased Beyond Magic and MM was one of the perks. You’ll know if it’s active if your pictures show up w/o a watermark running across them.
I have a “Platinum Pass Exchange” in MDE that I bought from Sam’s Club in 2019. My understanding from talking to GS multiple times is that when I activate the pass, it will include all of the benefits of the old Platinum Pass that I purchased, including MM. If I am wrong about this, please let me know!
