Accommodating Accommodations

See what I did there? Okay. So. 6 adults and 6 yr old. I’ve got 3 sets of people. 1 booking direct and the other 2 are sharing a DVC. I’d like to get some idea of people’s experience about how I go about room bookings. 2 things. 1) If I book and they book and I phone to ask in advance, how accommodating are Disney at giving us interlocking rooms? It’ll be Summer 27, SSR a studio booked direct and 2 bed DVC booking. 2nd thing - I don’t quite have enough points to bag the 2weeks in a. 2bed. Do I ring pay the extra - can I even do that? Or do I book the extra days via point rental? Any comments/suggestions/proposals welcome!

They do not offer these types of room that connect (if that is what you mean by interlocking). You would just have to request something nearby.

You can buy 24 points to add onto your stay but I do not think that is enough for an extra night in a 2-bedroom. So you would need to rent the additional nights or purchase a points transfer to book yourself.

To add, you could book one night on cash, either through Member Services (which might have a discount). But that would be a separate reservation with no guarantee you get to stay in the same room. Ditto if you booked a night with Disney.

The couple of times we had to move rooms was when we had one DVC and one cash room.
