A warning for booking Genie, etc in the AM

we are considering Standby Skipper for July trip, how did it work out for you?

Ugh! I couldn’t log in this AM either. Getting worried about this trip next week. I’m also considering stand by skipper (which I have been staunchly against) so I can at least get that first LL while I sort the MDE chaos.

Those that are struggling - are you logging out every time you’re done with the app?

I’m trying to identify what might put a person at risk so that I am aware well ahead of my first park day in 17 days

I know he was active here in the forums and in all the threads regarding Genie+, LLs, Advanced Strategy. I wasnt aware of him being a TP employee. Many people were upset that he exploited for monetary gain the info gathers by liners for other liners use and only shared in LaCava for a reason.
I just assumed Standby Skipper approached TP about the opportunity for intergration.
ETA: Him being a former employee does make sense on why TP was seriously considering such an intergration though.

What browser are you using? Have you tried mulitple? I’m not having a problem.

Yes I don’t like the product because I see it as a cheat - and the paid part only makes that all the more true for me.

I was in that thread where Len was seeking input from users (and was loudly and clearly told “no thank you”)

This is the first time I have heard it glitching like that on an iphone! The latest update sounds less than good.

It is extremely easy to use. I did not get an LL before 7:00, which some people have reported (which is good I didn’t IMO)

I quickly felt like I didn’t actually need it, but can see how someone new to the parks, with a small child or a large group, would find it really helpful.

Then on my HS day, my Tip Board and My Genie day completely glitched out. BG1 didn’t work at the time and the Blue Umbrella could only offer to start an IT ticket. I only new what LL I had because SS would make them and I would get a notification, and by asking the Blue Umbrella to remind me of my times.

Thats what I am hoping- the group this summer will consist of 2 “boomers” that have not mastered Instacart and 3 twenty somethings that are not getting up at 7am eastern time to start the process.

edited to say I won’t be doing anything ride wise so I am not sure if I don’t purchase GP+ if I can actually book for them

I know people have split SS with another party. So as long as you have full planning authority for them, you should be able to select a party that doesn’t include you.

But you could ask them too.

It was the app on my phone. Same thing happened the other morning. That day I had to do the whole password reset but no reset email dance from my laptop (Safari) and after several tries finally managed to reset PW.

This am app kept giving me an error when I tried to sign in. Could not sign in from BG1 either. Went to laptop to try and it was fine but it was 20 minutes later at that point.

I have fast fingers at 7am so I need Disney IT to cooperate!

I thought it was just a problem signing in through BG1. I keep the password saved on my phone though. Do you happen to have more than 1 Disney account? Other people have reported issues too. Woondering what the underlying factor is. But this is Disney we are talking about. It could purely be random.

I agree. I feel like there was sneaky using of Liner knowledge to make the product and monetize that product. I’m probably gonna hope for the best next week. But it is seriously tempting.

For the 7am grab could you use a tablet? Is this just an issue on your phone?

Nope. Just one account. And my sign in across all Disney products had been working totally fine until this week. And MDE wait times were down the other day. I think they are glitchier than normal over there right now.

The other day it was across all platforms so tablet would not have helped. This AM I’m not sure if on a browser instead of app would have worked. There was a 20 minute gap between me fiddling with MDE app and getting my coffee and settling in with my laptop. Might have just been fixed at that point.
