They let us on at 8:36! So right after I posted. We rode Remy, did a quick meet and greet with Aurora then walked with purpose to Frozen, where the posted wait time was 20 min but we waited 3.
Then some swordplaying in the gift shop and a second breakfast at Kringla. First time trying the appelkake and it’s really good!
Headed to Mexico and met Donald (only two groups in front of us), three caballeros, then headed over to Figment.
We were about an hour behind our plan at this point because of the extra character meet and greets but the park is definitely a crowd level 1. For most of the morning, the walkways were fairly empty.
After Figment, we had a LL for spaceship earth (posted wait was only 20 min), then we tracked back to the Land to do Soarin’ with our next LL. Entered the queue at 11:21 and weren’t out of the show until 11:56. Think I saw maybe Ryan comment recently about how the time between shows and such makes the LL concept a fallacy. It’s true.
We liked the America version and despite being in A1, there was only one hardly noticeable sad Eiffel Tower moment. After that we had lunch in Seasons. To put the crowds in perspective, you know how there are three sections you can sit at there?! In the one we chose, at 12:05, there were twenty open tables to be had. (And it was similar in the other sections as well.)
Kids had Mac and cheese and yogurt. Hubs had salmon which was a little dry. I had the pork carnitas bowl which was the clear winner.
We did The Land and Billie cracked up when I told her about the great cucumber heist from a few years ago. We went to Nemo, saw huge manatees, then did Journey of Water. Huck taunted the kakamora spewing fountains and got soaked.
We then walked over to Test Track - a first for the kiddos and new since however many refurbs for me and Michael. (Don’t think I had been on in close to 20 years.). Billie is not a thrill seeker and was a bit nervous but both kids loved it. Their immediate reaction? “I can’t feel my face!” 
Huck played at the playground outside Creations to dry off for a bit while Michael and Billie grabbed some afternoon cafe. We browsed the store then headed to France for Glacee. Thunderstorm has started to roll in but rain is holding off for now. So we’re going to meander the countries for a bit as I grabbed a 5:30 LL for Remy. Our new room is ready but trying to wait until the Skyliner is back up and running. (Might be a fool’s errand!)
I’ve also tried three cake slices: Millionaire, Champagne, and Coconut Passion Fruit. Millionaire is still the best. The Champagne was tasteless, like you said. The Coconut Passion Fruit was light in flavor.
The chocolate cake at Steakhouse 71 is so much better AND cheaper!

Sat on a bench in Morocco and watched the lightning storm for a bit. Then got a snack in America. The Girl Child’s first - she was so confused when I ordered it at first then proceeded to eat half of it.
The gents went to Germany for a bit - Huck fell in love with the train set a couple years ago and was enamored by all the lizards that seem to populate it. He likens them to Godzilla and tries to find as many as he can.
Afterwards, he was spent, though. Understandably. Think he had clocked close to 9 miles of walking by then. So he and I rode the skyliner back, skipping the extra Remy ride. Hubs and Daughter stayed behind, met Jasmine, and took advantage of the LL. Then they also joined us back at the hotel.
At that point, Huck was in tears over Brazil’s loss (they were his first pick) and clearly needed food. I mobile ordered primo pattio, had bell services being our luggage to the new room, and we watched some Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse cartoons until bedtime.
The other room was nothing to sneeze at. And it had some conveniences this one doesn’t (proximity to elevator and food), but I’m glad we switched for our remaining six nights. (The first pic is the view while sitting on the living room couch.)

Yeah, that view looks amazing! Also love the photos of the turkey leg snacking - the two photos juxtaposed almost seem like a time lapse or something. Your features might not line up directly but your daughter could definitely play “younger you” in a biopic

Y’all. It’s been a day.
First off, fireworks last night were insane. Billie has never seen them before because Huck still has an 8pm bedtime and we’re pretty strict since he wakes up at 5:30am regardless. She was awed. Then terrified! They were loud. And there were a lot. It was neat as we could hear parts of the music - think the show was “Heartbeat of America” for the 250th. And I think the Girl agrees wi5 us - she likes watching the, from a distance

and being nut free I was very excited my DS could have it!

Since we only have one day per park this trip, I went nuts and bought Premier Pass for MK today. I thought it would allow us to stroll, walking from one side of the park to the other leisurely and finishing early enough to come back and take a swim and rest before tomorrow. I was not only nuts but a fool.
See the thing is, a few months back, the Girl Child found some letters she had written to the tooth fairy on the top shelf of a craft closet. She asked a LOT of questions. And she’s a kid who needs magic. So when she asked if we could do Peter Pan, Pooh, and Ariel twice this trip, we decided to make it happen for her. She’s really embraced her new role in making magic for her little brother and others and we love that she still thinks those rides are the best
So we didn’t exactly rope drop - caught a 7:50 bus, security, taps, and early entry were all open when we arrived, and we go in line for PP about 50 people back. Ride opened at 8:28 and we were done by about 8:45 we started to walk to WtP and encountered a character bonanza! Stitch! Fancy Mickey! Belle! Chip and Dale! And a new meet and greet for us: The Mad Hatter! I asked if it was his unbirthday and it was! He declared it such a coincidence that it was my unbirthday too! Then he told us a joke because of Billie’s shirt: “Why do Maleficent’s spells take so long?” “Because they drag-on.”

We did WtP, which was all of a five minute wait, then Ariel which was walk on, and then we sat down for a family tradition of cinnamon rolls as big as a baby’s head.
Then it was off to TomorrowLand. We were moved and then did Buzz 2x as a walk on. I like some of the new features (like sending the scores with the ride photos) and appreciate @Jeff_AZ ’s recent tip on the spinning white. Didn’t hit many of them, but tried when I saw them! Then Huck wanted to do space mountain, which he claims he doesn’t like. He LOVES it. And then I suggested Tron. If any of you read my TR last year, Huck made it through the first height check but not the second, resulting in many tears. So I thought he’d be all excited for it. But I guess the outdoor portion was intimidating to him. Since Billie really enjoyed TT yesterday and is taking on bigger rides these days, I suggested she try it (even though she’s not our roller coaster fan). She was nervous. But brave. And she declared it one of the best rides ever. She also suggested to her brother that he would love it and I genuinely thought he would, too. So Michael and Huck decided to give it a go.
Riddle me this, dear reader: how does a boy who claims to LOVE Space Mountain and Test Track decide he HATES Tron? I just don’t get it. So I owed him a Kylo Ren light saber as that was our bet 
Because we took the time to ride Tron as two separate runs, it was close to lunchtime at this point so we walked back to FantasyLand and mobile ordered Columbia Harbour House on the way. We took a little rest upstairs in the air conditioning, ate some lobstah rolls, and then headed back out for the next push.
We started with IASW, then went to do 7DMT only to discover it was down. As was BTMRR. And there wasn’t weather. Both were down for technical reasons and would stay down for almost three hours. We did HM, then Jungle Cruise, and Pirates. Then decided to get dole whips and caffeine. They out too much soft serve in the cups. It ran over everything everywhere. There were sticky hands and cranky kids but also they ate the heck out of those swirls. Mom got the tropical serenade float, which was fantastic. Dad got cold brew. But had to go to four different places before he found any. While we were eating our liquid ice cream, we saw trains moving on BTMRR so we hustled over there. Posted wait was 20 min so we decided to use standby line so we could ride twice.
We really like the upgrades. The ride was so smooth - and we were even in the back row our first time. 7DMT was also back up but we saw dark clouds in the distance even though storms weren’t predicted for another two hours. We tried to hustle but by half way there, we heard thunder and it was down due to weather. Total bummer. We went back to Buzz to use our LL and I paid my debt to Huck in the Space Mountain gift shop. We also saw the Baymax squishmallows that B was contemplating at Epcot yesterday, so we got her that as well.
Then we headed to Under the Sea to use our LL there. And you guys?! The kids rode together. First time ever! We said we’d check to see if 7D was back up one last time or else we’d head back to the hotel. Storms were still in the area but it wasn’t raining yet so we strolled out of the park grateful for a very full, long day, even if we didn’t get to everything we wanted. I Door Dashed some pizza on the bus ride back and it arrived about ten minutes after we did. Kids tucked in for some cartoons and were conked out pretty early. Now Michael and I are watching this 
show of a World Cup match while I type this up.
Tomorrow we go to IoA/Universal. The fam’s first time and I haven’t been to IoA since 2010 and US since well before that. Maybe 1999?! So we’ll see how that goes. Since we don’t have early entry, we don’t have to leave until 8am so at least we get a little bit more rest time in the morning (if Huck will sleep through his internal alarm clock that is!)
