I have done this so many times now, you’d think I would be a pro, but I am nervous. Are there any major changes to this process from last year that I should be aware of? Last year I got frazzled when I couldn’t get FOP for the day I planned to be in AK, and I didn’t have the presence of mind to try for a later day in my schedule. I spent the next few weeks being angry at myself. This year, I am prepared to try for SDD and FOP later in my week. I have been watching both the Touring Plans and Dibbs FP pages. Anything else I should watch out for, like glitches in the system?

As I told my wife 10 minutes before the window opened up for us to try to get CRT reservations - “10 minutes before the window opens isn’t the time to be nervous. It’s 10 minutes AFTER the window opens and you don’t have it reserved yet.” There’s nothing you can do at this point, so grab a nice cold drink, kick your feet back and enjoy this time. Tomorrow morning is the time to be nervous. But, I feel you’ll be able to get what you want.

I have had 3 Fastpass windows open since January…go, go back to back trips! Each one followed the EXACT same pattern. I will share with you, so if you encounter this tomorrow you will know it is not totally unheard of.
All 3 times I clicked the “Log In” button to MDE EXACTLY at 7am est. All 3 times I was able to get to where you add a Fastpass, select the day, select the park, and then select the ride and time. Right when I went to confirm (the final step) all 3 times, I got Olaf saying they could not complete the step and to try again later. When I would go back and retry, I would get the same. Finally each time it got to the point where I just hit “Refresh” over and over. Every now and then I would log out and try to log back in just to get the same thing. This would go on and on.
Here is the thing: ALL 3 TIMES right around 7:22-7:26am, suddenly everything would just be perfect and I could book everything without a hitch! I have not failed to get a Fastpass I wanted yet, but I have to tell you that each time those were some really long 22-26 minutes.
Just found it odd that all 3 times this happened. So, the message is, if this happens to you, just keep trying. Do not give up, and know that if you see Olaf about 120 times saying to try again later that the 121st time will work!

Great! Thanks for asking. I got everything I wanted at the times I wanted! I started out booking the headliners (SDD on 60+7 and 60+6, FOP on 60+5, 7DMT on 60+4, TT on 60+3 and FOP again on 60+2 (evening)) Then I went back and filled in everything else. It helps that we are going to be in Universal for the first 2 days. After I got everything I wanted, I went back and repeatedly modified until I was happy with the times. No problems!

I told you to kick back, grab a cold drink and relax. I knew you would do it. My friend went just a couple of weeks ago and he got everything he wanted except FOP at day 30.

May the fast Pass Gods be with you. Even if you don’t get exactly what you want, you’re a liner, so modify. No one can predict system glitches. I had a horrible time last year because of MDE, but so did everyone else that day…managed getting everything I wanted other than SDD and that was still on the day I wanted, just later
ETA TAKE SCREEN SHOTS after you get all your fast passes (not while in process)

Congrats! That high you feel when you get everything you want is so amazing, isn’t it!!! It’s like…sure, I can get a flat tire. I got FOP! Gotta work late? Meh, more time to fantasize about 7DMT!
