We normally never travel around holidays due to the crowds. I was looking for a couple days to take my family to Universal in July and after perusing the crowd calendar, I noticed a small pocket of smaller crowds on July 4th 5th and 6th. Is that accurate? Just need some assurance before planning an Independence Day vacation.

I’ve gone twice right after the 4th. I only noticed it being really busy at Hogsmeade because that was the first year it was opened. The second time, it was busy, but I didn’t feel like it was overwhelming crowded because I already planned for the worst after the first visit. We never had the express passes, and lived to tell the tale, lol. What I liked about going in July was the long park hours—I didn’t feel rushed because the hours were long. I’m sure if you do have the EP, it won’t feel as bad.
