4th fastpass on disney app?

So having a discussion with a friend right now about our upcoming trip in December. We have all our FPs booked, but question is around the additional FP you can get after you use all 3. Do you HAVE to go to the kiosk? Or can you make the 4th FP on your smartphone through the Disney app?

He said that he is sure he made the 4th reservation through the app, but from what I researched, that isn’t possible.

Can you guys help me? Is it possible to reserve your 4th FP through the app? Thanks!

You have to make it at a kiosk, but you can then make changes on the app. So just grab the first thing you see and then walk away and change to another time or attraction.
