Because of my job I get weather alerts. This was this afternoon’s
IDK but I don’t have time for that. I have a 10 miler on Sunday…
This map looks more like September
Hehehe nahhhh now it’s 4 again. It’s funny to observe it, though
Are you principal at a surfing school??
Superintendent and every super in the state will get weather updates. The Island schools may have to watch those storms out at sea. I believe the airports and boating communities get these updates too. That weather system is out there but shouldn’t impact us.
Since finding this post, I have a new tab opened to follow the formations. I’m happy to see there are now 3 and the possibility has lowered to 10% for now.
I have never been to MNSSHP and would love to be able to experience all the things, especially the Headless Horseman. The horse is just beautiful.
Now, I just need to find a few tidbits on the security info at the gates. I saw some earlier that AK was testing a new method and another Park, (maybe EPCOT?), was literally checking every bag. But, I am also acknowledging that it was FB and it’s not all true.
This is a lot to slog thru tho these are the guys that study the weather, bless them.

This was published about a month ago, superseding tho mostly agreeing with the report published in May.
Their tl;dr comes at the very end:
The main climate-related uncertainty in this seasonal hurricane outlook is the timing and intensity of the predicted La Niña.
If La Niña develops and has intensifying related impacts (reduced vertical wind shear and favorable vertical motions) through the latter portions of the hurricane season, the season’s activity will likely be near the upper ranges of this updated outlook.
(The above is from the last paragraph. First and last sentences) La Nina is in the Pacific Ocean, rather highlighting how difficult weather predictions are anywhere. We’ve just had the coolest summer in decades.
Our summer was by no means cool. We didn’t beat records, but it was coming close. We have been so dry, we have been fortunate to not have a crazy amount of wildfires this year in the western part of our state.
