Just beginning the trip planning process and was wondering if anyone has ever done this before. We will be a family of 5 and would like to stay at Cabana Bay family suites but we really want express pass and would only need it for 2 days (1 for each park). Could we book a “dummy” night at Loews Royal Pacific just for the express passes? we wouldnt actually stay there (prefer the kitchenette at CB) but it seems like it would be cheaper to pay 1 night at that hotel than it would be to pay for 2 days of express passes x 5 people. Thoughts anyone?

That is a great idea, and usually cheaper than buying express passes separately.
We often do that! And we’ve lucked out by getting an AP discount on our dates. I purchase an AP only for myself. Of course we do split up the family that night to utilize the nicer room…
